Maybe you've noticed, if you've been here before, but I've done
some modest restyling. It was time to make everything look a little
more neat, I thought...
But when everything is clean and neat, you get bored easily. So
I asked my mowwie if he could clean up the css and the
mastertemplate and shizzle, which would make it a lot easier for me
to move stuff around on my website... Like I do in my room... When
I get bored, I move my stuff around, very liberating... And I'm
hoping to be able to do the same with my website.
The idea is a kind of treasuremap, where the random items are
scattered over the map. So you've got to look around a little bit,
scroll left and right and down and up. But I'll start of calmly,
making sure you can still see all the seperate parts of the website
(menu's, images etc).
So thanks to mowwie for giving me controle over my
website again!
So what do I have planned for us?
Well, I'm currently studying in Brussels at the Ecole
Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels otherwise known as La
Cambre. Quite the mouthful right, I know, but it's quite the famous
institution, located in an old (and in places crumpling) abbey,
that just has history leaking from every crevice! I had never hoped
to have such a wonderful time there, but I am.
I'm studying typography and ceramics and it has just opened a
whole new world of possibilities... Hopefully I'll be able to fill
you in more visually soon! My hands are usually so covered in clay
that taking pictures would prove to be quite the challenge.
My plan is to start up a little shop in handmade curiosities,
hence the name 'the cabinet of curiosities' :) you like? Which is
why I am currently very busy making things, thinking of a graphic
style to present it, testing out certain techniques and
materials...
For instance...

I'm not really sure about the style yet... I want it to be
delicate, intimate but peculiar at the same time... I was thinking,
maybe I don't have to choose yet, and I can just use them all :)
I'm planning to screen print these logotypes on some glassine bags,
see how they work, and I'll just choose eventually.
I don't have any pictures yet of the things I'm actually
selling, but packaging is just as important you know... :) I hope
to take some soon!
